National Allotment Society membership

IAS members have the option to join the National Allotment Society (NAS) through our affiliation.

NAS is the national organisation representing allotment holders across the UK. It provides additional benefits, services, and support beyond IAS membership.

NAS membership is administered separately from IAS and follows the IAS/NAS membership cycle.
All payments made on or after January 1st 2026 will go towards 2026-2027 membership.
Please note that NAS membership and access to NAS benefits, including the Kings Seeds scheme, do not begin immediately after online payment. IAS must manually update the NAS database first. We will let you know once your NAS membership has been processed and activated.

Cost and eligibility

IAS members can join NAS for £3.50 per year as affiliated members.

For comparison, individual NAS membership outside an affiliated society costs £25 per year.

NAS membership is available only to current IAS members when joining through the Society.

Membership benefits

NAS membership provides additional benefits, including:

  • Discounted seeds through the Kings Seeds scheme
  • Access to the ‘Allotment Gardener’ magazine (digital and printed)
  • Expert horticultural advice and support
  • Initial legal advice and access to discounted legal services
  • Retail discounts on a range of gardening products
